Brian Barnett is a 1985 honor graduate from Northside High School and protege of the legendary Ray Horne. He received his BS.Ed in Theatre Education from Columbus State University after a successful career as Art Director in Atlanta. He also performed with The Atlanta Opera Company, Actor's Express, Theatre in the Square, Neighborhood Playhouse and The Alliance Theatre. This is his 22nd year at Northside. He was named Northside Teacher of the Year in 2007. Mr. Barnett sponsors Thespian Troupe 2892, established in 1966 by Mr. Horne, and also sponsors Mr. Northside and Miss Northside each year. Troupe 2892 produces a 1-Act play for competition, a winter children's show and a spring musical.
