Dr. LaDaria Coats- Students with last names A-H/Special Programs

Dr. Coats serves students with the last names A-H, 10th -12th grades, and she is also the counselor of special programs which include the Governor’s Honors Program, Presidential Scholars Program, Golden Eagle Award, and Georgia Virtual School. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Georgia College, a Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education from Georgia College & State University, a Master of Science degree in Interrelated Education from Georgia College & State University, a Master of Science degree in School Counseling from The University of West Alabama, a Specialist degree in Elementary Education from Troy State University and a Doctoral degree in Exceptional Student Education from Northcentral University. Dr. Coats has taught students with disabilities (ages 3-19) from 1997-2017 in a variety of educational settings. Dr. Coats transitioned her role as an Exceptional Student Educator in 2017 to the present role of school counselor. As a parent of three children, who all have different personalities and learning styles, Dr. Coats truly believes every child has gifts! She is looking forward to her continued commitment of serving ALL CHILDREN.

Dr. Coats is married to Mr. Frankie Coats, and they are the super proud parents of Brandon, Brendon, and Bradley. They all enjoy Alabama Football. ROLL TIDE!!!
