Education:

1991 Honor Graduate, Mary Persons High School, Forsyth, GA

1995 Bachelor's Degree, Presbyterian College, Clinton, SC

2000 Master's Degree in English Literature, Georgia College and State University, Milledgeville, GA

Mrs. Branch holds certification in Gifted Education, Advanced Placement English, and Teacher Support Coaching and Mentoring

 

Mrs. Branch grew up in Forsyth, GA and was always an avid reader and lover of literature. In high school she was an award-winning public speaker and member of her high school debate team. While in undergrad, Mrs. Branch majored in English and Secondary Education. She was editor of the college literary magazine, Figs & Thistles, and a staff writer for the newspaper and yearbook. She is a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. After college, she moved to Warner Robins and began her first teaching job at Northside High School. She has served as the sponsor for the sophomore and senior classes, the yearbook and newspaper advisor, and the sponsor of Students Against Destructive Decisions. In 2015, she was named Houston County's Teacher of the Year. For several years she has served as a reader for the AP English Literature Examination. She has served as course team leader and as department chair. Currently, she is the Gifted and AP Lead Teacher.

Mrs. Branch is married to John Branch, her high school sweetheart. They have two children, J.R. and Jena.

In her free time, Mrs. Branch enjoys reading, crafting, shopping, and spending time with friends and family. She serves on the Centerville Housing Team, and she is proud to be a part of the Northside community!
